Angel Island

Not too far from San Francisco, Angel Island is such a beautiful place to visit. Whether one likes to hike, bike, walk, or just have a picnic, Angel Island has it all. Stopping at the town before taking the ferry boat to the island, one would enjoy the small town with small shops and eateries. The town itself is nice and relaxing just to hang out. December is not the best time to see what is there in Angel Island, but if one does not mind being a little chilly, this is one of the less busy time to visit. We were there early December. Even though it was a little cold and cloudy part of the day, we were able to enjoy some sunshine.

In a couple of hours, one can go around the entire island. But if you have time, a entire day is more adequate since there are many trails to interesting locations on the island such as historical buildings or beaches...
